Hi, I'm Nidhi Belani, and you probably know me as the Singapore Girl who flew with Singapore Airlines for over 10 years. Yes, it changed my life forever, and I am grateful I had the chance to fly with SIA.

But it wasn't always this way. I too, struggled to get selected in the other airlines before I got selected with Singapore Airlines

Yes, I have been through rejections myself and I faced a lot of fears and insecurities as well.

For example,

• I struggled with giving interview answers
• I struggled with confidence because I was insecure about my looks and skin
• I got stuck when the interviewer asked me difficult questions
• In some interviews, I came across as too talkative and overconfident
• My photos were not showcasing me in the best possible manner
• My CV wasn't well prepared to give me a good chance at being selected
• My poor body language showed that I was not confident in the interviews
• I didn't smile enough to showcase my warm personality

All of these mistakes cost me the chance to get selected at the other airline interviews that I attended

But I was determined to work on myself, improve my personality and get selected with an international airline.

With every rejection, I worked on myself, and perfected one thing at a time

And this was during a time when no one was actually giving any cabin crew coaching

It was just me... my mother and my mirror...and lots and lots of practice.

I am sharing this story with you to motivate you because I have been there...done that. I know how much it sucks to get rejected...or even think about being rejected. And I wish I knew someone who could coach me to become a cabin crew so that I didn't have to go through so many rejections and failures.
